The picture says it all!
I cant wait till next summer. Smoking ban is finaly in. It will be against the law to smoke in pubs and the best thing is that teachers cant smoke on school sites, aint it great. I personally cant wait for the ban to come in because loads of teachers will go on strike and less school for me. So if you smoke i advise you give up now because life is being made harder and harder for you.

In away i disagree with the ban, because it wasn't two long ago when people were incouraged to smoke. And most of the oldder generation didnt know that it could harm them or others, and know they are just susposed to give it up. Some people do not have the will power for that. anyway i do think that having public places smoke free will be better for everyone plus the environment. We just have to hope that it will work.

but loads of people didnt choose to smoke so why cant they have there rights not to be surrounded by smoke. its a very controversial issue.

absolutely no way. be honest keeley who has more rights not to be filled with smoke. someone who freely decides to fill there lungs with smoke or someone who passive smokes.

With rights come responsibilities ... people in general pretty much have the right to do most things that don't harm...the problem comes when one person's rights impinge on another's...here's one for the pot...do people have the right to hurt themselves...to self harm, to commit suicide, what about euthanasia?...do any of these things hurt other people...why do we try to prevent these things happening? Is it because it would hurt the people that love them...is there any child who wouldn't want their parent to give up smoking and live longer?
